As it gradually gets colder outside, it becomes all the more cosy indoors. Whether it’s a sauna session or a soak in the hot tub – wellness is a popular choice in autumn. Unwinding and enjoying nature – it helps you stay grounded before the hectic final sprint to the end of the year. When nature outside is aglow with its myriad colours in the sunshine, wouldn’t you also love to bring a little piece of nature indoors with you? In the wellness oases we’ve listed, you’ll always find a substantial piece of nature: Silberquarzit.

This natural stone from the Pfitscher Valley in South Tyrol is making its mark in the wellness areas of hotels and spas around the world with its shades of beige and grey. Its natural lustre, created by layers of mica, gives it an elegant appearance. What’s more, Silberquarzit is practical for use in wellness areas: its surface is slip-resistant and water-repellent. Its high density, due to its quartzite content, prevents the build-up of bacteria and germs. Furthermore, thanks to its hardness, this natural stone is robust and easy to maintain.

The following five wellness areas have incorporated Silberquarzit in a unique way to offer you a high-quality and natural wellness experience:

Rock shower at Biohotel Rastbichlhof

At an eco-hotel in the Stubai Valley, you can enjoy a shower surrounded by rock. In close collaboration with CareTirol GmbH and the Innsbruck-based architect Erich Schroffner, a unique feature has been created using high-quality Silberquarzit. The natural stone slabs for the rock shower were selected with the utmost care and fitted by hand to ensure a perfect fit. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to showcase the natural beauty of the material. Furthermore, the entire wellness area is fitted with Silberquarzit – ensuring the rock shower blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings.

Fuchsegg Eco Lodge

Thanks to its antibacterial properties, Silberquarzit enables the creation of environments that promote good health. At the same time, this natural stone is particularly sustainable due to its durability. Both of these factors are key elements of the construction of the Fuchsegg Eco Lodge in Austria.
